Botswana Visa Information
Please read this page before travelling to Botswana as it contains information on what your visa requirements are needed to enter Botswana.
Visas for Botswana should be applied for through your closest Botswanan Embassy or High Commission.
Nationals from the following the countries do not require a visa to travel to Botswana:
- All EC Countries
- All Commonwealth Countries (excluding Sri Lanka, India, Ghana, Mauritius and Nigeria)
- USA, South Africa, Uruguay, Scandinavian countries, Western Samoa and countries from the former Yugoslavia
The standard visa granted is for a one month entry permit and tourism is actively encouraged by the tourism board and the government. Optional visa extensions are available although usually only 3 months of stay is permitted for a during any 12 month period.
